How we work

Ita’i Weavers

Ita'i Our Cloth is pioneering a unique approach of working with weavers. Our objective is to keep our weavers weaving. Starting with Okene in 2019, Ita'i engaged fifteen (15) weaving homes within the community that have been weaving steadily. To ensure conformity and overall quality control, Ita'i purchases all weaving materials from one source, and all required designs, patterns, colours guidelines are strictly followed by participating weavers. Ita'i then supplies the woven cloth to participating designers/artists.

Ita’i Designer Program

Ita'i Our Cloth continues to explore opportunities for global brand integration, innovation and collaboration by encouraging participating Designers & Artists in fashion, art, space and lifestyle; to apply their craftsmanship in creating exclusive, quality and exportable product lines such as artworks, apparels, households, footwear etc with The Ebira Cloth. The selected Designers/Artists also commit to give back to community development programs through barter services or sales percentage, thereby staying connected to the cause.
